GerHubGerHub is a non-profit social enterprise that seeks to find innovative and creative solutions to some of the most pressing issues facing the Ger areas of Ulaanbaatar. They partner with top universities and institutions globally in the fields of architecture, design, and engineering with a focus on researching and developing ways to affordably modify and modernize the Mongolian Ger to meet the housing needs of Ger Area residents.
The Institute of Engineering and TechnologyThe Institute of Engineering and Technology is a higher education institute with a focus on technical and vocational education. IET currently hosts a variety of programs including: construction engineering, architecture, environmental engineering, and road construction engineering.
Fulbright Research ScholarThroughout my Fulbright Research Fellowship, I was the primary researcher, designer, project manager, and fundraiser of the Passive Ger project - with the aim of developing an energy efficient Ger prototype to reduce air pollution in Ulaanbaatar.
EcoTownEco Nogoolin Citizen’s development association (also known as EcoTown) is a grassroots community collaborative NGO that has come together to transform it’s ger district community into model sustainable Mongolian community for the developing world. EcoTown’s goal is to bring about positive change in the Ger Areas through grassroots initiatives, in combining forces with community members who want to collaborate to produce results.
Nomadic Synergetic PartnersNomadic Synergetic Partners (NSP) is an architecture rm based in Ulaanbaatar. Developing an expertice in sustainable design and energy e ciency - NSP’s goal is to build “A Green Home for Every Family”.
Gund InvestmentsGund Investments LLC is an Institute of Finance and Economics. Gund Investments is focuses on developing socially responsible communities of Ger Districts’ residents through redeveloping their lands into comfortable eco-properties with engineering infrastructure by providing sustainable and professional service. The organization is currently developing Khashaa Baishin (Western style homes for the Ger Areas) to demonstrate the potential of carbon reduction in individual detached houses and encourage community engagement with participation and education.
